Academic adviser to LESTARI ENERGY company
I participated as an academic adviser for LESTARI ENERGY ( lestari energy sdn bhd ) company to design, supervise and oversee a nanofluid-based Photovoltaic thermal (PV/T) system with split-flow design. The project was built for TNBR ( TNB Research Sdn. Bhd. ) which is the in-house solution provider for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) since 1993. Situated in Kajang, Selangor, the Research & Development (R&D) Centre, provides a centralised, one-stop centre for technical solutions and innovation.
My duties were:
To provide mechanical and schematic designs
lists of equipment
Produce nanofluids
Oversee the manufacturing process
Carry out a site visit.
I am happy to say, the project was concluded successfully on the 29th of November 2019. I would like to extend my gratitude to Prof. Dr. Kamaruzzaman Sopian for allowing me to be part of this project, and to LESTARI ENERGY company. I believe in the importance of bridging the gap between academia and the industry. I believe this was a great step forward to commercializing PV/T technology.
